i went to new york. in march.
alrighty folks....here you go! three times in one week. i am astounding.
here are some recent (2 month old) photos of the dudes playing on our massive back porch ( you can almost see the whole thing in the photo). i love campbell's fake smile and chunky thighs....yum yum, gimme some. campbell's select chunk thighs (=
the rest are of mommy in nyc for a sort of missions trip with our church...we went to assist with the planting of the gallery church, which is affiliated with our home church, the summit, in durham. check out www.summitchurch.cc for some ridiculously good sermons by jd greear and updates on stuff we're doing locally, like our "mission trip to durham", where we'll be assisting in building homes, teaching english as a second language, etc....lots of amazing stuff! in new york, we worked very hard, as you can see. seriously, we did work, but it wasn't work work...we helped them get the word out about the church (new yorkers love it when you hand them a flyer on the street corner), stuff easter eggs for a community-wide easter egg hunt (16,000 eggs...holy.), and just invite people....lots of people discovered the church that week, which we're very excited about...it's an amazing place with an amazing mission....they just wanna love new york and take care of it, and share God's love with its people....right on. they're getting their hands into everything from pregnancy support to hiv/aids support, and there is not doubt they'll make a huge impact in the city...very nice.
alrighty, i'm so done. going to ebay, and then sleep for at least 6 hours until someone under 4 feet tall sings me awake or knocks on my forehead.
*um, malachy's is the holy and sacred bar where stephen proposed to me for the final time. i finally said "yes"
*that's kelly ripa doing a spot for "live"...yes, i totally tourist-stalked her, and took her picture. so retarded. i used to hate every tourist that stopped for a photo.
*please also note the very tourist-friendly photo of the city from the top of rockefeller center. double-dumb, but beautiful nonetheless.
*finally, a blizzard fell the day we left. seriously, snow up to the knees. (maybe only the mid-calf or ankle for the rest of you, but knees for me)

jax was in a wedding. in february.
Ok, so Jackson was in a wedding, now almost 3 months ago, but hey, you take what you can get, right? the wedding was the sacred and holy joining of two of our dear friends, leslie and jason, the "assistant music guy" at church, whom jackson loves loves loves. even campbell can say "jason", and runs past me to get to him at church, so these peeps are very important to us...when they asked if jax would be their ringbearer, i cried and cried, and then enthusiastically accepted. when i found out that jax's future wife, kharis would be walking down the aisle with him, i cried some more, then prepared for the mental image of my little baby jackson in a tuxedo...as you can see, he rocked it out pretty hard. he loved that thing, and still asks me, "mom, should we stop by the men's warehouse, and see how my tux is doing?". yes, he thinks we just left "his" tux there, and he can pick it up whenever...i won't burst his bubble. um , please note the natural smile and shoulder raise that the dude does when it's time to pose for the pix. super monkey.
ok, let's see....oh yes, i've been doing weight watchers to keep up with my shrinking husband, who accidently loses 4-7 pounds a day, so i've been counting my points every day....as we sat down to eat dinner the other night, jackson took one look at his spaghetti, and said, "mommy, how many points is this?". scary, i know, so i had to explain that when you're 5 (sob), your job is to eat as many points as possible so that you can get as big and strong as possible. then had to explain why i'm counting points, which was its own complicated explanation....alas.
alrighy, love to all, and you can sweat me all you like for my blogging 2 days in a row.

all the people who have ever lived in my belly.
PEOPLE! i love you. i really do. my lack of "blogging", or whatever it is when you write just one day a month (someone help me come up with a term for this), has nothing to do with my lack of love for you, or a waning desire to show off my children to the world. i am simply busy and haggard, overwhelmed with laundry, dishes, poopy bottoms, and ebay. there.
alrighty, here are some "recent" (read: in the last 3 months) photos of the wee tots playing in our "front yard" (the cul-de-sac out front) on their favorite playthings, rocks and trees. the last photos cracks me up because of what you DON'T see....right after i snapped it, the glee you see turned to horror as jackson slipped backward off the rock, then stood up and gave me the "how dare you!?" face ( i might have been laughing a little...i'm a really good mom). these photos were also taken before my boyfriend lost 30 pounds, so i'll have to throw some new ones on there so that you may see how smokin' hot he is.
ok, let's see.....any good jackson quotes recently, you ask? (and i do get asked all the time)....well, yes....we were riding home from micky d's, and he has a cup of water in his hands...they had apparently depressed one of the bumps on the cup lid because after a few moments of silence, jackson asked me, "am i on a diet?". they had marked the diet button, and my genius child read it....yes, he is a genius, and i am going to be that obnoxious mom that says so, so there! yes, your child is a genius too. and gorgeous. and well-mannered, and all of that. shall try to write more later (later this month, that is). love you all!
